Two Items
1. Anna has had several good bonks since starting to walk, but she got her best one yet yesterday when she took a head dive right into a wood crate that holds her toys. Thankfully it didn’t break the skin, but it sure took off some of the outer layers and left her with two big red lines on her forehead. If we were to connect the lines with a small diagonal, she’d have the Harry Potter lightning bolt! I know there is not practical way to prevent all bonks, but we decided to move our furniture around quite a bit to make a much more toddler friendly room (and now it can also be a toddler holding pen!).
2. Most of you know that Anna likes to dance. She almost always does at least a little dancing whenever she hears music, and holding her and dancing around is one of the best ways to calm her when she gets hurt. Well today I taught her how to partner dance with her Lammy (her favorite stuffed animal that is almost as big as she is). She holds Lammy in a bear hug and dances back and forth with it. It’s really cute!
